We are happy to offer a dynamic learning experience for community groups including day care centers, scouts, recreation centers, camps and places of worship. Choose from a variety of options to fit your groups style.

Virtually… Need even greater flexibility? We now offer all our programs virtually through zoom. Learn about Waukesha County’s history from the comfort of home by interacting with our presenters.

Discovery Boxes

Encourage your students’ curiosity! Discovery boxes are collections of artifacts and primary source materials that allow students of all ages to get hands-on with history. Each box is built around a particular theme that can can be easily incorporated into your existing content standards. Click here to see which boxes are currently being offered.

Service Opportunities

The museum has many opportunities for groups to earn service hours. From dusting museum collections, to helping process documents, assemble craft kits, or helping host a community event, your group will find your time at the museum rewarding and memorable.


Girl Scouts and BSA Scout Programs

Our unique programs are designed to immerse scouts in a variety of topics, while completing their badge requirements.

2022-2023 Education Program Prices

At the Museum Tours and Programs

  • $5 per student/adult
  • 1 chaperone per 10 students is free (student groups)
  • $50 minimum (for groups less than 10)
  • Exhibit Tours & Programs: 1 – 1:45 hours
  • Additional fee for programs outside of the museum’s operational hours

Museum ToGo! 

  • $150 for first program
  • $30 Travel Fee if outside Waukesha County
  • $75 for each additional same-day program
  • Duration: 45 minutes with 15 min for Q&A

Virtual Tours and Programs

  • $50 for virtual meeting (limit 100 participants)
  • $75 for virtual meeting (more than 100 participants)
  • hosted by WCHSM on Teams or host of program
  • Duration: 45 minutes with 15 min for Q&A

Discovery Box Rentals

  • $20 per week
  • $30 refundable deposit
  • maximum two week rental

 

Programs and Tours will be schedule for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with limited exceptions.

Scout Badge Rates

  • 1 hour programs and activities
    • $5 per scout with a minimum of 10 scouts
    • Free – 2 chaperones per group (2 chaperones are required for all scout groups)
    • $10 Snack charge (required for some badges)
  • Half-day Badge Activities
    • $30 per scout with a minimum of $120
    • Free – 2 chaperones per group (2 chaperones must attend group at all times)
    • $10 Snack charge (if snacks required)
    • Any additional special materials
