"Hands-On" History for Girl Scouts
Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts can earn a badge through games, crafts, exhibits, and other activities at the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum on Saturday, Febraury 19th from 1:00 to 4:00.
Junior Girl Scouts can test their creativity as they discover toys from Waukesha County's past and present as they earn their Toymaker badge. Brownies will be able to bring stories to life with their puppets, dolls, and marionettes while they earn their Puppets, Dolls, & Plays Try-it.
A hands-on presentation, The World of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Adventures with Ma & Pa will be at 2:00. Discover pioneer life and toys right from the pages of the popular books! The program is geared towards kids of all ages; you don't have to be a Girl Scout to attend.
The cost is $2.00 per child and pre-registration is requested. Price includes admission to exhibits and all activities. For more information or to register call (262) 521-2859 ext. 224.
The Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum is located at 101 West Main Street at East Avenue and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission to the Museum exhibits is free for Waukesha County residents on Saturdays. Free parking is available on the streets and on city lots.
